Named both the FCSAA Pitcher and Player of the Week within first month of season
Emmy Lee was named the FCSAA DII Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance during opening weekend of the season.
Lee got the start against Hillsborough College on Friday afternoon. She recorded her first collegiate win on the mound with 4.1 innings of work.
She picked up the win after allowing just two runs on three hits with a pair of strikeouts. The Lakehawks recorded their second win of the season 13-5 in five innings.
Fast forward two weeks, Lee was named the FCSAA DII Softball Player of the Week.
In four games, Lee batted .571 with one double, one triple, and a grand slam. She recorded nine RBIs and scored five times.
Lee helped the Lakehawks to their first win against Seminole State in over 10 seasons after blasting a grand slam in game one of the double header for the lead. In two games against Seminole State, she went 4-for-8 with six RBIs and four runs scored.
Later in the week against Polk State, Lee went 4-for-4 with three RBIs in game one of the double header.
For the season, she leads the team with a .571 batting average, .600 on base percentage, and a 1.000 slugging percentage. In just 12 games played so far this season, she has 20 hits with 16 RBIs, four walks and two homeruns.
