Sophomore Colton Berquist posted an 8,000-Meter time of 26:36.5 for a new program record.

Sophomore Colton Berquist ran in two meets for the Lakehawks' men's cross country team in September.
At the Eastern Florida State Fall Classic, Berquist was LSSC's top finisher posting 8,000-Meter time of 26:52.4, a new personal best and the second fastest time in program history to kick off the 2022 season. He finihsed 18th in a field of 75+ runners and second among NJCAA runners.
Berquist also had an outstanding race at the Saint Leo Abbey Invite, keeping focus and holding his form through the sprint at the finish to become the top finisher for the Lakehawks, placing 13th overall and second among all NJCAA runners. His 8K time of 26:36.5 was good for a new program record, surpassing alumni Alex Croy's time of 25:35.9 from 2020.
