Named NJCAA Track & Field Athlete of the Week on Jan. 22
Freshman Jaden Miller was named the NJCAA Track & Field Women’s Indoor Athlete of the Week for her impressive debut performance in the triple jump, long jump, and 60-meter events at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
With a mark of 5.26m (17’2.35”), Miller placed 19th in the long jump. Also showcasing her skill in the triple jump, a leap of 10.66m (34’11.75”) gave her a 15th place finish in the event.
In the 60-meter, Miller led the team with a time of 8.13, setting a new school record and finishing 35th overall.
Since then, Miller broke her previous Long Jump reocrd with a mark of 5.34m at the RADD Sports College Invtational.
She currently ranks 19th nationally for her best Long Jump mark and 25th nationally for her Triple Jump mark.
