PREVIEW: No. 16 Lakehawk Softball vs. SCF

LEESBURG, Fla. (Softball) – Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) softball continues Sun-Lakes Conference play this weekend with State College of Florida (SCF).

On Friday, the Lakehawks will host the Mantaees to open the series with a single game on Friday at 1:00 p.m. On Saturday, the Lakehawks will travel to Bradenton, Fla. for a double header at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.

SCF enters the weekend with a 4-11 record, having only played conference games this season. In five of the six series played so far, the Manatees have registered two of three from South Florida State College and Florida State College of Jacksonville.

In conference standing, SCF ranks sixth while the Lakehawks hold the second place spot with a 13-2 record.

This weekend marks the final weekend of three-game series for postseason placement. Beginning Tuesday, Apr. 8, teams will play double headers for the second round of regular season conference matchups.

Friday's home game will be streamed at Team 1 Sports: College. Access SCF's livestream for Saturday's double header at State College of Florida.
