PREVIEW: No. 22 Lakehawk Softball vs. South Florida State

LEESBURG, Fla. (Softball) – Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) softball continues Sun-Lakes Conference play this weekend with South Florida State College (SFSC).

On Friday, the Lakehawks will travel to Avon Park, Fla. to open the series with a single game on Friday at 2:00 p.m. On Saturday back at The Hawks Nest, the Lakehawks will host the Panthers for double header at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

SFSC comes into the series with a slow start to the 2025 season. The Panthers currently hold a 4-18 overall record and a 1-5 record in conference play so far. Their first conference win came against State College of Florida last weekend.

Ahead of the weekend, the Panthers currently sit at sixth in conference standing while the Lakehawks are in fourth.

All Sun-Lakes Conference home games will be streamed at Team 1 Sports: College. Live stream of away games will vary.
