TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Softball) – Sophomore Raquel Camuglia was named the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 8 Division II Softball Player of the Week for the second tie this season.
In four games last week, Camuglia hit .583 with six runs scored, one double and four homeruns. She had nine RBIs and added two stolen bases.
Camuglia had hits in all four games with multiple hits in both games of the double header with South Florida State College. Against South Florida State, she was a combined 5-for-6 with three homeruns and seven RBIs.
For the season, Camuglia is hitting .421 with a .473 on-base percentage and a .782 slugging percentage. She has 56 hits, 9 doubles, three triples, 14 walks and 47 RBIs.
Within the last week, Camuglia has stamped her name in the top-five of several stat categories in the record book. For single season statistics, she now ties for third in RBIs and ties for first in homeruns.

Camuglia and the Lakehawks will host South Florida State College on Saturday, Apr. 1 for a Sun-Lakes Conference double header at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
