Softball Set for Camp at PFX Athletics in July

Leesburg, Fla. – The Lake-Sumter State College softball program will be offering their three-day summer camp the last week in July and it will be presented by SideArm Softball Academy.

July 27-29, Lake-Sumter will be hosting their annual three-day instructional camp that allows high school aged players one-on-one time with the instructors in a fun and enthusiastic environment. Our goal is to help improve skills of players looking to compete at the collegiate level while identifying possible recruits from the surrounding area.

The cost will be $125 per player. If you come with 5-9 players from your team, there will be a discount at $115 per player. If your entire team comes, 10 or more, the cost will be reduced to $100 per player. Each day will consist of both offensive and defensive skills. Time will be given to each specific position on the field, including slappers.

We will also be offering a recruiting seminar for both players and parents. The idea is to educate everyone on the recruiting process and answer any questions you may have. Our athletic trainer will also be talking about nutrition as a collegiate athlete along with the do's and don'ts when training.

Please fill out the registration and medical waiver form. The medical waiver form must be signed and turned in before you will be admitted into camp. A set of guidelines will also be emailed out a week before the camp using the latest information from the CDC and state to ensure the safest environment possible.

Lake-Sumter has signed more than 20 girls directly from exposure at their camps in the last four years.
