PREVIEW: No. 24 Lakehawk Baseball vs FSCJ

LEESBURG, Fla. (Baseball) – Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) baseball continues Sun-Lakes Conference play this weekend against Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ). This weekend begins the second round of regular season conference play for the Lakehawks.

In their first meeting with the Manta Rays, the Lakehawks welcomed 2025 conference play with a three-game sweep. Lake-Sumter outscored FSCJ 22-5 for the series.

This weekend, Lake-Sumter will travel to Jacksonville, Fla. on Friday afternoon for game one at 1:00 p.m. On Saturday, the teams will be back in Leesburg for a double header at 1:00 and 4:00 p.m.

FSCJ enters the back half of the regular season with a 12-22 overall record and a 2-13 conference record, their only two wins came against St. Johns River State College on Mar. 1.

The Lakehawks enter this weekend's series in third place. After sweeping Palm Beach State last weekend to break the three-way tie, Lake-Sumter is at an 8-7 record against Sun-Lakes Conference opponents.
