LEESBURG, Fla. (Baseball) – Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) baseball hosted Webber International University's developmental team on Wednesday afternoon. The Lakehawks defeated Webber 11-1

Lake-Sumter and Webber kept the score close for most of the game.

Webber scored their only run of the game in the top of the first inning. The Lakehawks took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth, then added one more in the fifth.

In the eighth, the Lakehawks rallied for seven more runs to secure an 11-1 lead that the Warriors could not come back from.

Kendal Spencer was 1-for-3 with four RBIs, two walks, and two runs scored. Hunter Looper and Auston Chisenhall both added two hits and an RBI each.

Starting pitcher Nathan Quinn recorded his first win of the season with 6.0 innings pitched. Quinn allowed just one run on five hits and two walks while fanning 11 Warrior batters.

The Lakehawks improved to 11-7 on the season.
