Yarelis Lopez Osorio, Volleyball

Yarelis Lopez Osorio was named to the 2022 All Sun-Lakes North Division Second Team on Nov. 3.

The freshman outside had an outstanding 2022 season leading the team in kills (234), kills per set (2.96), and attacks (843). Defensively, she was third on the team for digs (222) and digs per set (2.81).

At the conference level, she was ranked in the top-10 of three stat categories, kills (ninth), kills per set (eighth), and total attacks (second). 

Lopez Osorio’s also recorded seven double-doubles on the year. Her best match came earlier in the season against Santa Fe where she recorded 15 kills with 21 digs.

“Yari led the team offensively, I am very proud of her that. The conference is very tough and difficult to earn this kind of recognition. She has great potential and I see big things for her future,” said head coach Amanda Phelps.
