TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Softball) – Freshman Amy Bak was named the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 8 Division II Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance in the week of Mar. 5 – 12, her first honor of the season. In two appearances, she went 1-0 with a 1.00 ERA.
Bak tossed a complete-game in game one of the Lakehawks' double header against Trinity Baptist College. She gave up just two hits with four strikeouts on one unearned run in the 5-1 victory.
Head coach Jay Miller commented on Bak's performance, "Amy has worked ridiculously hard to get better this season and seeing her on the mound for her first win was big. Then on top of that, she goes on to earn pitcher of the week.
"We are very proud of her and her hard work," said Coach Miller
For the season, Bak has thrown 30.1 innings with a 2-3 record and two complete games. She has 21 strikeouts at 4.85 K/7.

Bak and the Lakehawks will host Pasco-Hernando State College on Friday at 1:00 p.m.
