Lacey Crandall was named the LSSC Athletics Sports Information Director in the fall of 2022. She is the primary contact all eight Lakehawk teams. Her duties involve live stream and coverage of home events, daily maintaince of the Lakehawk Sports website and social media, and post-game coverage for all teams.

Prior to Lake-Sumter, Crandall was an assistant commissioner at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) based out of central Pennsylvania. Her primary responsibility was media coverage for the conference's 27 sports within the 18 member institutions.

The Deland, Fla. native earned her Bachelor of Arts in 2019 and went on to pursue a Master's of Education which she completed in 2022 from Valdosta State University (VSU). While at VSU, she played six seasons on the Blazer softball team.

During her time at VSU, Crandall had the opportunity to grow and pursue her interest within the sports media world. In 2018, Crandall showcased her skills with camera work at home football games. She operated what is known as the "Hero Cam," which is set up on the 50-yard line to keep the ball within the frame and get a quality shot for high-speed replay of each play ran. Her work during the season provided her with the opportunity to work as a grip assistant with ESPN3 for postseason coverage of the Blazers' national championship run.
 
Also in 2018, Crandall began a sports videography internship with ITG Next, a local sports magazine to South Georgia and North Florida areas. She was responsible for attending high school sporting events, shooting game footage and producing highlight reels for social media.
 
Crandall also operated the VSU Softball Instagram account while playing. This experience allowed her the creative freedom to write, shoot, edit, and produce content promoting the team along with designing unique graphics for weekly events and player recognition.

Crandall is a member of 2YSIDA, an organization within College Sports Communicators, or CSC, which is dedicated to educating, advocating, and communicating with and for the intercollegiate athletics communications community. She also serves on the Region 8 Sports Information Director Committee as the state's Divison II representative. 

Crandall resides in Leesburg, Fla. with her two dogs, Alaska and Denver.
