GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) volleyball continue their early season hot streak on Tuesday afternoon with a non-conference win over Santa Fe College.
After taking a two-set lead, the Saints tied the game at 2-2 to force a fifth. A thrilling fifth set gave Lake-Sumter just enough momentum to defend Santa Fe 15-8 to take the match.
Brooke Fintak and Samantha Beatty continue to lead the Lakehawks on the court, both posting double-doubles against the Saints.
Fintak recorded 15 kills and 17 digs. Beatty had 12 kills with 22 digs.
The Lakehawks will have their home opener and start to the 2052 Sun-Lakes Conference regular season slate on Wednesday, Sept. 3 against South Florida State College. The livestream for home matches can be accessed here.
