All-FCSAA/All-Region 8 Announcement
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Volleyball) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) announced the 2023 Division II Volleyball All-Sun-Lakes Conference and the 2023 All-FCSAA/All-National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) Region 8 Teams on Thursday evening. Sophomores Kaylee Hunt and Yarelis Lopez Osorio were named to both the all-conference and all-region teams.
Kaylee Hunt, Outside Hitter
Hunt was named to the All-Sun-Lakes Conference First-Team North Division and the All-FCSAA/Region 8 Team. Hunt is a first-time recipient of both awards.
In the regular season, Hunt has averaged 3.21 kills per set (295), 3.35 digs per set (308), and 3.8 points per set (346.0). She adds 29 aces and 43 blocks.
Hunt is a two-time recipient of the Division II Volleyball Player of the Week weekly awards. One of her top performances came early in the season where she posted three consecutive double-doubles at the Cape Fear Invitational.
Currently, Hunt ranks second for kills, third for points, fourth for kills per set and points per set, sixth for digs, and ninth for digs per set in Region 8 Divsion II Volleyball.
Hunt's 18-kill performance against Lurleen B. Wallace Community College propelled her career-kill count above 500 becoming just the sixth Lakehawk in program history to achieve the milestone.
Yarelis Lopez Osorio, Outside Hitter
Osorio was named to the All-Sun-Lakes Conference Second-Team North Division and the All-FCSAA/Region 8 Team.
In the regular season, Osorio posted 10 double-double matches. She was named to the Region 8 25-Dig Club once after recording 26 digs and 14 kills against Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in late October.
For the season, Osorio averages 2.59 kills per set (2.59), 3.66 digs per set (340), and 3.0 points per set (275.0). Additionally, she has 25 aces and 18 blocks.
In Region 8 Division II volleyball, Osorio ranks fourth in digs, sixth in digs per set, seventh in kills, and ninth in kills per set and points.
Most recently, Osorio hit the 500-career-kill mark becoming the seventh Lakehawk in program history to achieve this milestone after Hunt.
Osorio is now a two-time All-Sun-Lakes Conference North Second Team honoree.
The All-Sun-Lakes Conference first and second teams from the North Division and South Division consist of six members each. The All-FCSAA/All-Region 8 Team is comprised of the top-12 student-athletes from the all-conference list.
The all-conference and all-region teams are voted on by the FCSAA Division II Volleyball Coaches.

Hunt, Osorio, and the Lakehawks will kick off the postseason in West Palm Beach, Fla. Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. against State College of Florida. The tournament will be available to watch on the FCSAA Digital Network.
