Lakehawk Women’s Golf Sets Out for Inaugural Season
CLERMONT, Fla. (Women's Golf) – The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) women's golf team has revealed their schedule for the program's inaugural season in fall 2025. The team is comprised of four student-athletes local to the Lake-Sumter area and one international student-athlete.
Wies Bouwma joins the Lakehawks from the Netherlands. She attended the Jason Floyd Golf Academy in Sotogrande, Spain to improve within the sport before pursuing a collegiate golf career.
Bouwma's lowest recorded score last year was a 78(+6).
The Lakehawks will play in three matches in the fall season. Below is the schedule:
Sept. 8-9 – SSC Fall Warmup | Rio Pinar Golf Club, Orlando, Fla.
Sept. 22-23 – Battle at Black Diamond | Black Diamon Ranch, Lecanto, Fla.
Oct. 13-14 – Snead State Invitational | Cherokee Ridge Country Club, Union Grove, Ala.

Additionally, during competition, access to live updates are available at SCOREBOARD - Lake Sumter (Women).
The golf championship season is set for late April, early May. Teams will compete all year to earn a spot in the 2026 NJCAA Championships.
At this time, the location and dates for the district and national championships are still to be determined.
The Lakehawks' spring 2026 schedule will be announced when finalized.
