Lakehawk Golf Takes 10th at Skyhawk Classic
NEWNAN, Ga. (Men's Golf) – The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) men's golf team wrapped up their first major collegiate tournament on Tuesday afternoon. Though results fell short of expectations, the team uses the experience to flash what is to be achieved in future competition.
Tripp Watkins set the pace for the squad, battling his way to a strong top-30 finish, while Kasen Schlichenmaier led the team in total birdies with seven.
Bradley Parker delivered one top highlights of the tournament nearly holing out for an albatross before tapping in a 2-footer for eagle on hole 8 in round three.
Kylan Johnson's putter was on point throughout the tournament with an elite per-round average. Nate Williams finished strong carding three-straight birdies on holes 11, 12, and 13.

Lake-Sumter took 10th in the final tournament standings. The team tied for first in eagles+ with two and ranked eighth in birdies 24.
The Lakehawks will take the next week to train before traveling to Knoxville, Tenn. for the Brad Rose Collegiate Open on Mar. 17-18.
