Comartin and Walker Named Beach Volleyball All-Americans
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Beach Volleyball) – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced the 2024-25 NJCAA Beach Volleyball All-American teams. Lakehawk Beach Volleyball's Mariana Comartin and Brooke Walker were named to the NJCAA All-America Second Team.
They become just the eighth and ninth Lakehawks in program history to receive this honor.
The two were paired up in the later part of the 2025 season in the No. 4 spot at the Palm Beach Atlantic Tournament. On March 25, the pair was named the Region 8 Pair of the Week after going 3-1 in their debut weekend.
The pair finished the season with an 11-3 record and a perfect 8-0 run in championship play.
At the 2025 Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) Championship, Comartin and Walker were named to All-FCSAA Pairs team.
Both are set to return to Lake-Sumter next year as sophomores on the beach volleyball team.
Stay tuned on social media for the remainder of the summer for more updates with Lakehawk Beach Volleyball. Academic awards for the FCSAA and NJCAA will be announced later this month.
