Lakehawk Athletics 2024-25 Season in Review

LEESBURG, Fla. – As the 2024-25 season comes to a close, Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) Athletics highlights the achievements of the student-athletes throughout the course of the year. Athletics saw a lot of success both academically and athletically from all 11 teams this year.

Overall, the athletic department posted a 3.22 grade point average with 67 student-athletes achieving above a 3.50. Additionally, 45 student-athletes participated in commencement.

Below are individual highlights from each LSSC team.

Baseball

Men's Cross Country

Took third as a team at 2024 FCSAA Cross Country Championship
Competed at both NJCAA Cross Country Championship and NJCAA Half Marathon Championship
Spencer Palmer named Male Player of the Year at 2025 Hawkspys

Women's Cross Country

Oksanna Smith named Female Player of the Year at 2025 Hawkspys
Competed at both 2024 FCSAA and NJCAA Cross Country Championships
