Clermont, Fla. – The fall is just around the corner which means leaves falling, cooler temperatures and the Lake-Sumter State College men’s and women’s cross country teams hitting the trail.

Clermont, Fla. – The fall is just around the corner which means leaves falling, cooler temperatures and the Lake-Sumter State College men's and women's cross country teams hitting the trail.

Last season, we left off with both teams making a run at Nationals. The men's team finished ninth overall and second among teams competing from Region 8. Led by Kyja Williams, who placed 22nd overall, the women's team ranked 20th at the National meet.

This year, the teams will get going at their annual tune-up event on August 26 at the Daytona State Beach Relay. September 10 will mark the beginning of the regular season schedule on the road in Melbourne, FL at the Eastern Florida State College Invitational.

Tallahassee will play host to not only the Region 8 meet on October 28, but also the National NJCAA meet November 12.
