Lakehawk Volleyball Ties for Eighth in Final Region 8 Coaches’ Poll

LEESBURG, Fla. (Volleyball) – The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) volleyball team's 2022 season came to a close last week at St. Johns River State's home court. The Lakehawks fell to the Vikings in three sets, 16-25, 17-25, 19-25.

For the match, the Lakehawks hit .155 with 33 kills, 31 assists, four aces, and 58 digs.

Kaylee Hunt was a leader for the Lakehawks both offensively and defensively recording eight kills and 11 digs. Yarelis Lopex Osorio, Katelyn Johnson, and Taylor Lawrence each recorded seven kills while Cameron Bendel had 13 digs and three aces.

LSSC ranks tied for eighth with St. Petersburg in the final Region 8 Division II Coaches' Poll after finishing their season at 10-15 overall and 3-10 in conference play.
