Avon Park, Fla. – Two Lake-Sumter State College volleyball players tabbed All-Conference at the end of the year banquet Friday.
Prior to the start of the Region 8/District P Tournament, the Sun-Lakes All-Conference teams were announced. The Lakehawks had two freshman selected by the committee of coaches to represent their program.
Aleisha Marcano was tabbed First Team All-Conference after a stellar rookie campaign. Marcano, who is coming off of an October where she was selected Region 8 DII Player of the Week twice, put an exclamation point on her first year of collegiate volleyball with the selection. The Puerto Rico native ranked sixth in the state (DII) in kills per set (2.62) while hitting .230 on the season.
Libero extraordinaire, Hannah Yarbrough was named Second Team All-Conference. Yarbrough finished in the top five (DII) with 288 digs and was second in the conference averaging 5.05 digs per set. The Eustis High School graduate also served up 17 aces this season.
