Lakehawk Track & Field Displays Successful Performance at Celebration Pointe Classic

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (Track & Field) – The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) men's and women's track & field teams traveled to Gainesville, Fla. over the weekend for the Celebration Pointe Classic at the Alachua County Events Center.

The Lakehawks continue to improve every week with four recording new personal records (PRs) while competing among National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and Division II athletes.

Nine Lakehawks competed on Saturday:

Assistant Coach Karen La Rosa commented, "As we continue our inaugural indoor track season, I am incredibly proud of the team's dedication in learning the nuances of this new challenge. It is inspiring to witness the collective growth and unwavering determination of our entire team.

"Jaabir delivered an outstanding performance on Saturday, showcasing remarkable improvement in the men's 400M with a new indoor personal record of 51:47, said Coach La Rosa.
