Lakehawks Look to Build on a Pair of Wins

Leesburg, Fla. – The Lake-Sumter State College baseball team heads into the third week of the season at 2-4 after splitting their last two contests.

Kendal Spencer came out of the gate firing on all cylinders hitting .304 with seven hits in six games, including one double while driving in three RBI's. Ryan Monaghan is hitting right at the .300 mark in four games with a .462 on-base percentage. Ian Thornton leads the team with four RBI's driven in while Alberson Mogollon has racked up three stolen bases.

Colton Bruns has made three appearances from the mound and one start while carrying a 2.57 ERA and a no decision. Anthony Griffith and Caleb Wood have one win each. Evan Loeser has tallied a save in each victory. Loeser has tossed three scoreless innings, allowing just one hit with one strikeout.

Lake-Sumter will head to Indian River State College Wednesday for a single game before returning home to host Polk State College Friday afternoon.
