Billings & Miller to Present in Daytona Beach

Leesburg, Fla. – This week, the Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) will host their yearly state baseball and softball conventions in Daytona Beach. Two familiar faces will be up on stage addressing the crowd.

Head Baseball Coach Rich Billings will be speaking Friday at 3 pm to a room full of baseball and softball coaches on The Structure of Practice with a Small Coaching Staff. "This is a great way to develop relationships with high school coaches," said Billings. "These coaches are extremely important to the success of our program." Friday will mark the second time Coach Billings has presented at the convention. His first presentation was back in 2016 when he spoke on outfield drills.

Head Softball Coach Jay Miller will actually be presenting twice, once on Thursday and again on Friday. The two topics he will be covering are How to Build a Program Culture as well as Analytics and How to Use Them to Your Benefit. "It's very exciting to get up there and represent your program and be able to talk about it in front of  all these coaches," Miller said. "We are a small college, so to get the word out on what we are doing here in Leesburg is an awesome opportunity!" This will be the first time Coach Miller has had the chance to speak at the FACA Convention.

Both coaches are coming off of seasons where their programs made it to postseason competition and will be looking to do the same in 2019.
